FY 2010 REGIONAL REGRANTING MINI-GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING

On January 19, 2010, the Council approved funding to 19 Regional Regranting agencies. The Council allocated $500,000 for the Regional Regranting Program to redistribute locally in the form of “mini-grants.”

Mini-grants offer up to $4,000 to nonprofit organizations, municipalities and schools to support a wide variety of arts and cultural programs. On behalf of the Council, dedicated Regranting organizations assist applicants with grant writing and organizational development. The mini-grant applications are adjudicated locally through a panel of arts and culture experts. The program ensures that funds are distributed statewide and reach under served and rural areas that often have limited access to arts and culture.

Funding for the Regional Regranting Program reflects a 36% cut from FY 2009 and only one round of grants will be offered. Guidelines and applications are available from Regranting agencies. The deadline to apply is February 24, 2010 for projects that take place from April 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010.
