The Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF), in conjunction with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), today issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking one or two advertising agencies to execute campaigns for business and travel marketing and promotions. The contract(s) awarded will be a lump sum/fixed price contract.
Agencies may bid for one or both of the campaigns, but must submit separate proposals for each. Preference will be given to contractors that have a significant business presence in Michigan. The term for the contracts will run from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.
Prospective bidders are invited to submit questions as instructed in the RFP. Emailed questions must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 4. All questions and answers will be posted online no later than March 11. Questions can be sent to contracts&grants@michigan.org.
Agency proposals are due at MEDC offices in Lansing no later than March 30, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., at which time seven (7) copies of complete proposals must be submitted. The MSF’s Joint Evaluation Committee may conduct oral presentations as early as April 15, running through April 20.
Submitting agencies should be aware that the MEDC is also pursuing an RFP for business and travel marketing and promotions. The MEDC’s RFP of what needs to be submitted is the same as that of the MSF. Once a winner has been selected, they may have to enter into a contract with the MSF as well as the MEDC. Also, all conditions relating to sharing or disclosing information that apply to the MSF will also apply to the MEDC.
