Bridget Beckman serves as Public Relations Officer for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and primary contact for media. She also develops and manages the agency's public relations strategies, which emphasize Michigan's alternative energy sector and other dynamic industries.Beckman has held several communications and policy roles in state and municipal government, as well as private sector. Most recently, she was communications director for the Michigan Department of Agriculture and the state's liaison to the Midwest Governors' Association on renewable energy. Additional public sector experience includes the Michigan Departments of Management and Budget and Treasury, and the Saginaw City Attorney's Office. Beckman also previously worked on environment and energy issues for a southeast Michigan public relations firm.Beckman earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Michigan State University.
