MISSION STATEMENT

The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs serves to encourage, develop and facilitate an enriched environment of artistic, creative, cultural activity in Michigan.

GOALS

• Strengthen arts and culture
• Support arts education
• Recognize, reflect and celebrate cultural pluralism and broaden cultural understanding
• Establish and facilitate communications networks
• Increase visibility and awareness of the arts and culture
• Encourage new, creative and innovative works of art
• Expand and develop funding resources

• 1/19/10: The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs announces its newest grant program for FY 2010, The Program for Operational and Project Support. This grant program will offer an opportunity for non-profit or other tax exempt organizations to apply for a competitive grant in either of the two identified categories--Operational Support or Project Support. Each category has specific eligibility requirements and review criteria. Guidelines for this program are available on our Grant Program and Online Forms Web pages.
